How to Install Surfshark: Download, Install, and Login

Solutions Review explains how to set up and install Surfshark, including how to download, install, and login.

With an increasing number of cyber-attacks on high-profile companies and growing concerns over data privacy, many users are turning to virtual private networks (VPNs) to keep them safe when they’re using the Internet. A VPN protects the online traffic of its customers by masking IP addresses, encrypting network data transfers, and preventing external forces from observing user activity. Many VPNs also allow users to access censored or unavailable content or enable high-speed video streaming from any location.

There are many VPN solutions on the market, but today, we’ll be focusing on Surfshark. Surfshark is a British Virgin Islands-based virtual private network provider founded in 2018. The vendor offers VPN applications for multiple different platforms and device types, including iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, Chrome, Firefox, FireTV, and Apple TV. Surfshark currently offers over 1,040 servers in more than 61 countries. All of Surfshark’s servers come with private DNS, Camouflage Mode, IPsec/IKEv2, P2P-friendly capabilities, OpenVPN, and extension support.

Learn how to download, install, and login to Surfshark below.

Step 1: Sign Up for Surfshark

Obviously, the first step in setting Surfshark up is signing up for the service. If you sign up for Surfshark via our affiliate link, you can get an exclusive offer on this VPN software. You can sign up for a two-year plan for $1.99 a month as well as a yearly plan for $5.99 a month and a monthly plan for $11.95 a month. Pick whichever plan works best for you! Choose your desired payment plan, enter your payment information, and create an account.

Step 2: Download the Surfshark Software

Once you’ve signed up for Surfshark, it’s time to download the software. The vendor offers numerous versions of its VPN solution that are specifically tailored to devices and operating systems. After you’ve created your account and your order has been processed, select the version of Surfshark that fits your operating system — whether it be a Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, or Linux device, as well as the Chrome and Firefox web browsers. Then, you can download the installer that’s designed for your system.

Step 3: Install the Program Onto Your Device

After you’ve downloaded the installer, navigate to where you downloaded it and run the executable file. From here, it’s a simple matter of following the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. Surfshark’s installer is simple and easy to understand, and after the software has finished installing everything, you’re nearly ready to begin browsing securely.

Step 4: Open the Software and Login to Surfshark

Once the installation process is complete, open the Surfshark application to log in and start the VPN software. The software will prompt you to enter your username and password  — use the same information you provided earlier when creating an account.

Step 5: Start Browsing Securely with Surfshark

After logging into the program, click the Connect button at the bottom of the screen to activate the service. You’re now all set to browse the web securely and privately!

Once you’re connected and configured, Surfshark’s state-of-the-art, multi-gigabit private network will provide online security, protect your identity, allow anonymity, stop eavesdroppers, unblock websites, and grant uncensored access to the internet.

Why Choose to Download and Login to Surfshark?

There are many different VPN providers on the market, each delivering its own set of advantages and benefits over other solutions. Some of the benefits of using Surfshark include:

  • CleanWeb. CleanWeb is Surfshark’s VPN ad blocker that actively protects users from malware and phishing attempts. The service blocks intrusive popups and ads, discards suspicious links, prevents phishing attempts, and save user mobile data. CleanWeb provides automatic malware detection with databases that are updated continuously (which currently contain over one million infected websites) and deliver next-level phishing protection.
  • Whitelister. Surfshark offers a VPN tunneling feature named Whitelister, which allows users to exclude specific apps or websites from connecting via Surfshark’s VPN. VPN tunneling allows some of your network traffic to bypass your VPN, which is useful for visiting websites that block VPN access while still being able to protect other apps and websites with advanced encryption. Whitelister can be customized to exclude specific websites from your VPN connection.
  • MultiHop. MultiHop, Surfshark’s double VPN feature, allows users to connect via two different VPN servers to add an extra layer of security. Using a double VPN lets users hide their real location and traffic more reliably, improve online privacy, and in same cases improve connection speed. MultiHop is designed for users that want more privacy when connecting to their own country, activists and journalists, and security-focused companies.

Solutions Review explains how to set up and install ExpressVPN, including how to download, install, and login.

There are many VPN solutions on the market, but today, we’ll be focusing on ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN is a British-based company whose VPN solution lets users securely and anonymously browse the web and access blocked worldwide content from anywhere. The company currently hosts over 3,000 VPN servers, with 160 server locations in 94 countries across the globe, and users have the option to switch between servers whenever they want. Users can hide their IP addresses from potentially malicious actors and enjoy anonymous web surfing, unlocked regional content, and unthrottled data speeds.

Learn how to download, install, and login to ExpressVPN below.

Step 1: Sign Up for ExpressVPN

Obviously, the first step in setting ExpressVPN up is signing up for the service. If you sign up for ExpressVPN via our affiliate link, you can get an exclusive offer on this VPN software. You can sign up for a yearly plan for $8.32 a month as well as a six-month plan for $9.99 a month and a monthly plan for $12.95 a month. Pick whichever plan works best for you! Choose your desired payment plan, enter your payment information, and create an account.

Step 2: Download the ExpressVPN Software

Once you’ve signed up for ExpressVPN, it’s time to download the software. The vendor offers numerous versions of its VPN solution that are specifically tailored to devices and operating systems. After you’ve created your account and your order has been processed, select the version of ExpressVPN that fits your operating system — whether it be a Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux, or Chromebook device, as well as the Chrome and Firefox web browsers and routers. Then, you can download the installer that’s designed for your system.

Step 3: Install the Program Onto Your Device

After you’ve downloaded the installer, navigate to where you downloaded it and run the executable file. From here, it’s a simple matter of following the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. ExpressVPN’s installer is simple and easy to understand, and after the software has finished installing everything, you’re nearly ready to begin browsing securely.

Step 4: Open the Software and Login to ExpressVPN

Once the installation process is complete, open the ExpressVPN application to log in and start the VPN software. The software will prompt you to enter your username and password  — use the same information you provided earlier when creating an account.

Step 5: Start Browsing Securely with ExpressVPN

After logging into the program, click the red power button in the center of the screen to activate the service. You’re now all set to browse the web securely and privately!

Once you’re connected and configured, ExpressVPN’s state-of-the-art, multi-gigabit private network will provide online security, protect your identity, allow anonymity, stop eavesdroppers, unblock websites, and grant uncensored access to the internet.

Why Choose to Download and Login to ExpressVPN?

There are many different VPN providers on the market, each delivering its own set of advantages and benefits over other solutions. Some of the benefits of using ExpressVPN include:

  • VPN Split Tunneling. ExpressVPN allows users to enable split tunneling, a feature where the VPN routes certain traffic through their VPN tunnel while other traffic accesses the Internet directly, bypassing the VPN. With split tunneling, users can access web services and content from local IP addresses and international IP addresses at the same time. It also allows users to communicate with other LAN devices on their network while still connecting to the VPN.
  • Network Lock. In the event that your VPN connection is interrupted, ExpressVPN’s kill switch Network Lock kicks into gear. Network Lock immediately stops traffic from entering or leaving a device when a VPN connection fails, ensuring that power outages or users changing Wi-Fi networks don’t expose a device to outside threats. This feature is automatically enabled and stays on as long as a device is connected to the VPN.
  • TrustedServer. For their VPN servers, ExpressVPN delivers TrustedServer technology, which the company claims is “a whole new standard of security.” With TrustedServer, all data on a server is wiped following a reboot since ExpressVPN servers run exclusively on RAM, and servers never write data to the hard drive. Also, whenever a server starts up, the entire software stack is reinstalled, ensuring none of the servers are running outdated software.

The device also defends against botnets and prevents your device from being used in a DDoS attack.
  • Double VPN. While NordVPN connects you to one of the company’s global VPN servers by default, users have the option to enable the Double VPN service, where you connect to an additional server on top of the first one. This encrypts your web traffic twice, and since NordVPN switches between UDP and TCP protocols, users gain an extra level of security. The Double VPN feature is designed for users who want to ensure complete anonymity on the web.
  • Onion Over VPN. NordVPN offers users the ability to connect to the Onion network while also using NordVPN, providing similar functionality as The Onion Router (Tor) in addition to NordVPN’s solution. Through Tor, user traffic is sent through a number of volunteer-operated servers, hiding your location and encrypting data you sent through. Users can operate Tor servers without fear of snoopers on the network, bringing Onion’s anonymity and NordVPN’s security together.

How to Install Atlas VPN: Installation Setup + Walkthrough

Solutions Review explains how to set up and install Atlas VPN, including how to download and login to the tool.

There are many VPN solutions on the market, but today, we’ll be focusing on Atlas VPN. Launched in 2020, Atlas VPN is a relatively new service offering 700+ servers across 27 countries, including the U.S. and most of Europe. The network is protected by military-grade AES-256 bit encryption with SSL/TLS for data transfers. Atlas is offsetting its lack of established reputation by offering steep discounts on its service, with a three-year plan currently available for an industry-best price of $1.39/month — a plan that is also fully refundable for 30 days. If that’s still too much of a commitment, Atlas VPN even has a free version with limited servers and reduced speed.

Learn how to sign up for, download, install, and login to Atlas VPN below.

Step 1: Sign Up for Atlas VPN

Obviously, the first step in setting Atlas VPN up is signing up for the service. If you sign up for Atlas VPN via our affiliate link, you can get an exclusive offer on this VPN software. You can sign up for a three-year plan for just $1.39 a month, with Atlas VPN also offering a yearly plan for $2.49 a month or a monthly plan for $9.99. Pick whichever plan works best for you! Choose your desired payment plan, enter your payment information, and create an account.

Step 2: Download the Software

Once you’ve signed up for Atlas VPN, it’s time to download the software. The vendor offers numerous versions of its VPN solution that are specifically tailored to devices and operating systems. After you’ve created your account and your order has been processed, select the version of Atlas VPN that fits your operating system — whether it be a Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS device. Then, you can download the installer that’s designed for your system.

Step 3: Install the Program Onto Your Device

After you’ve downloaded the installer, navigate to where you downloaded it and run the executable file. From here, it’s a simple matter of following the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. Atlas VPN’s installer is simple and easy to understand, and after the software has finished installing everything, you’re nearly ready to begin browsing securely.

Step 4: Open the Software and Login to Your Atlas VPN Account

Once the installation process is complete, open the Atlas VPN application to log in and start the VPN software. The software will prompt you to enter your username and password via the “Go Premium” button — use the same information you provided earlier when creating an account.

Step 5: Start Browsing Securely with Atlas VPN

After logging into the program, click the connect button to activate the service. Once the software connects to one of Atlas VPN’s virtual private network servers, the power button will turn green and the text “Your connection is protected” will be displayed at the top. You’re now all set to browse the web securely and privately!

Once you’re connected and configured, Atlas VPN’s state-of-the-art, tier-1 multi-gigabit private network will provide online security, protect your identity, allow anonymity, stop eavesdroppers, unblock websites, and grant uncensored access to the internet.

Why Choose Atlas VPN?

There are many different VPN providers on the market, each delivering its own set of advantages and benefits over other solutions. Some of the benefits of using Atlas VPN include:

  • SafeSwap servers. Atlas offers SafeSwap servers that let users access the Internet from several different IP addresses at once, boosting their anonymity even further. SafeSwap servers rotate out your IP address from a pool of pre-selected addresses. This makes it more difficult for snoopers, authorities, and Internet service providers to track your location.
  • Tracker Blocker. Third-party trackers follow your every move online to collect data about you and bombard you with online ads — or worse, malware. Atlas VPN’s Tracker Blocker system prevent data brokers from using trackers on you while you’re connected to the Internet, giving you a safer, more secure, and less irritating online experience.
  • Data breach monitoring. The Atlas VPN Data Breach Monitor protects and encrypts your Internet traffic so that hackers and snoopers can’t see what you are doing online. It can track any data breaches related to your online accounts. You can protect your email addresses, usernames, passwords, social security numbers, and any other types of personal information.

VPN - Private Internet Access

Solutions Review explains the installation process of Private Internet Access, including how to download and set up the tool.

There are many VPN solutions on the market, but today, we’ll be focusing on Private Internet Access. PIA was founded as Crossrider by Andrew Lee in 2010 – and was acquired by UK-based vendor Kape Technologies (the company that recently acquired ExpressVPN) in 2019. The company operates servers across 78 countries while supporting multiple technologies like PPTP, L2TP/IPsec, SOCKS5, and OpenVPN. And of course, the software is compatible with nearly every device and operating system. Selling for as little as $2.19 a month, it’s also one of the most competitively priced options in the category.

Learn how to sign up for, download, and install Private Internet Access below.

VPN - Private Internet Access

Step 1: Sign Up for Private Internet Access

Obviously, the first step in setting Private Internet Access up is signing up for the service. If you sign up for Private Internet Access via our affiliate link, you can get an exclusive offer on this VPN software. You can sign up for a three-year plan for just $2.19 a month, with PIA also offering a yearly plan for $3.33 a month or a monthly plan for $9.95. Pick whichever plan works best for you! Choose your desired payment plan, enter your payment information, and create an account.

Step 2: Download the Software

Once you’ve signed up for Private Internet Access, it’s time to download the software. The vendor offers numerous versions of its VPN solution that are specifically tailored to devices and operating systems. After you’ve created your account and your order has been processed, select the version of PIA that fits your operating system — whether it be a Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, or iOS device. Then, you can download the installer that’s designed for your system.

Step 5: Start Browsing Securely with Private Internet Access

After logging into the program, click the large power button in the middle of the screen to activate the service. Once the software connects to one of PIA’s virtual private network servers, the power button will turn green and the text “Connected” will be displayed at the top. You’re now all set to browse the web securely and privately!

Once you’re connected and configured, PIA’s state-of-the-art, tier-1 multi-gigabit private network will provide online security, protect your identity, allow anonymity, stop eavesdroppers, unblock websites, and grant uncensored access to the internet.

VPN - Private Internet Access

Why Choose Private Internet Access?

There are many different VPN providers on the market, each delivering its own set of advantages and benefits over other solutions. Some of the benefits of using Private Internet Access include:

  • VPN security layers. The solution hides user IP addresses and provides an anonymous IP as a substitute, then applies high-grade encryption to secure data transmissions. Private Internet Access runs a firewall to block unwanted connections while delivering optimal performance. Finally, the VPN unblocks websites and Internet services and protects user identities.
  • Public WiFi security. Private Internet Access deploys state-of-the-art OpenVPN SSL-based encryption layers over all of its tunneled connections, meaning that users will never operate unencrypted while the VPN is active. This allows companies to safely enable remote work as employees take their devices anywhere.
  • Internet of Things security. The vendor provides data encryption services that help protect users against Internet of Things (IoT) devices, especially ones that have been tampered with. The VPN defends against Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing or poisoning and encrypts data from potentially unsafe devices.
